COMMITMENT

Living sustainability, showing responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITY & SELF-COMMITMENT

As an owner-managed company, we attach great importance to acting responsibly towards people and the environment.
With our in-depth understanding of the interactions between technical, economic and ecological systems, we are actively committed to the socially and environmentally compatible design of technologies.
Our aim is to continuously improve working and living conditions through our developments and applications.
At SAR, responsible corporate management also means using energy, water and other resources in a forward-looking and sustainable manner.
We respect nature as the basis of life for future generations and always consider the ecological impact of our economic activities.

When it comes to the environment and energy, we try to make a positive contribution at various levels.

PHOTOVOLTAICS in DINGOLFING

At our main site in Dingolfing and at our solar park in Hartmannsdorf, we generate over 2 million KWh of electricity annually using photovoltaics.
This exceeds the total energy consumption of all SAR locations worldwide and corresponds to an annual saving of around 1,000 tons of CO2.

BIOMASS instead of OIL HEATING

At SAR in Dingolfing, all oil heating systems were replaced by a central biomass heating plant powered by pellets from regional production back in 2011.
It supplies all buildings on the company premises with heat.
In IT, we use high-quality and therefore durable branded products with an average service life of over 6 years at all locations, despite the extremely high hardware requirements of our engineers.

SUSTAINABILITY at CAR FLEET

We rely on electric and hybrid vehicles in our fleet. Our goal is to primarily operate within approximately 150 km of our main location in Dingolfing using electric vehicles by 2025, which is achievable due to expiring leasing contracts for our vehicle fleet.

Additionally, we need to expand our charging infrastructure to support this transition. Currently, we charge our electric and hybrid vehicles using our own photovoltaic (PV) power. We aim to increase the number of charging points to 20 by 2025.
